VIC
(Voice Interface for Computers) software will enable you to control your computer by
issuing vocal commands. It works in conjunction with Microsoft's text to speech and speech
recognition systems (SAPI 5.1). The commands can be generic or application specific and
will affect the window that is in the foreground. This enables VIC to work on almost any
application that is started with a voice command. Once VIC starts the application it is
aware of the apps Identity in the windows environment. You can bring windows back to the
foreground by simply issuing the same command that started it. With the list of commands
that are available to you in VIC you can position windows, position the cursor and click
the mouse, enter text etc. You can string commands together so you can
issue single commands to do a series of events. I.E. you might issue the command EMAIL
that would take you to your email address in the browser, enter your ID, enter you
Password, and click the enter key. The commands are all user defined and stored in a
table. The software can be downloaded and tested for free. The demo version will have a
window pop up on occasion to remind you to register. Also, you can not edit the table with
the demo version. The registration fee is $25.00. Once the fee is received an email will
be sent to your registration email address with the access key. |
